As an Ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, Troy Carter M.D. is keenly aware of the need for eye protection when people are outdoors in the sun. He is also aware of the reasons why many of us don't wear sunglasses during their treks outside. An active outdoorsman himself, he has experienced many of the discomforts and hassles that are inherent to conventional eyewear. Which is exactly why Cordair Eyewear was designed to make sun protection more comfortable and carefree.
The human body itself served as inspiration for the revolutionary design. Drawing from the security and mobility of the hip socket, Dr. Carter developed and prototyped the design with the help of engineering experts. As well as incorporating further expertise in design and fashion from industry professionals. The end result is a product that is truly a new outlook on form and function.
As a practicing eye surgeon, Dr. Carter is keenly aware of the need for eye protection when we go out in the sun. He is also aware of the reasons why many of us don't wear sunglasses during their treks outside. After having LASIK surgery himself, Troy was given goggles to wear at night to protect his eyes after the procedure. He found them comfortable yet heavy and bulky. They gave him an idea for an eyewear design that would incorporate many of the best design features of glasses and goggles combined into a unique hybrid that makes eye and sun protection more comfortable and convenient. Cordair Eyewear is the result of that decade long pursuit.
